Brief Introduction

Water swelling waterstop strip is made from water swelling rubber water line on the basis of the ordinary rubber water-stop. The product swell when contact with the structures and increased the tightness between them which improved water stop and waterproof performance and also solved the problem of circle seepage which puzzled people long term.This series product have been used widely in some key projects and got excellent results.

How dose it achieve the waterproof performance in concrete joint?

The reason for why it have waterproof performance, that is because when the waterstop strip touch water, it will expansion and seal the concrete joint closely, so its expansion performance is the most important factor.

Let’s check its expansion performance through test.

1. Take sample (thickness: 2mm)

 

2. Put it in water (water temperature is 0- 40 ℃)



3.Soaking it for 5-7 days and observe result

  

Conclusion: when the swelling waterstop strip touch water, it will expand so much and the expansion rate can get nearly 400%, when the sample is taken out, it will restore as before.
